2.1 Catcher Dailies

2.1.1 Receiving Progression:

  • Weighted ball rolls (10 - 15) no glove
  • Weighted ball short hops (10 -15) no glove
  • Weighted ball high pitches (10 - 15) no glove
  • Fastballs with glove
  • Change pitches

2.1.2 Throwing Footwork Routine:

  • Transfer the ball
  • Right foot down as you catch
  • Footwork standing up
  • Shoulder switch
  • Throw from knees

2.1.3 Blocking Routine:

  • Block side-to-side
  • Preset blocking
  • Block-reverse
  • Circle blocks

2.2 Infield Dailies

2.2.1 Knee Short Hop Daily

2.2.2 Standing GB, SH, BH

2.2.3 Ladder Forehands

2.2.4 Ladder Forehand/ Backhand

2.2.5 Drop Ball Drill

2.2.6 Ladder Drop Step Daily

2.2.7 No Panic

2.2.8 Over and Backs

2.3 Outfield Dailies

2.3.1 Drop Step Barehand (45 – 60 degrees)

Throw a ball with this drill (no glove)

2.3.2 Drop Step Barehand (70 – 90 degrees)

Throw a ball with this drill (no glove)

2.3.3 Change Direction Drill

Throw a ball with this drill (no glove)

2.3.4 Get Behind the Ball

2.3.5 Ground Ball Preload

Throw into a net

2.3.6 Rolled Ground Balls

Same as preload, but add footwork

2.3.7 Off the Wall Drill

2.4 First Base Dailies

  • Catch a ball off the wall 10x in front of your face
  • Stride out and catch a ball in front of your face 10x
  • Pick a ball off a wall 10x
  • Pick a ball off a wall on your knee 10x
  • Pick a ball from your partner on your knee 10x
  • Start on the bag and pick a ball from your partner 10x
